Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting – Rushden

RUSHDEN’S BEACON
LIGHTING EVENT
In recognition of The Queen’s long and selfless service, more than 1,500 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle
of Man and UK Overseas Territories, including one in Rushden.
Hall Park

9.00pm – The Torchlight Procession will assemble in
John Street and head to Hall Park
9.35pm – A Piper will play a unique tune especially
written for the Jubilee
9.40pm – A Bugler will play a Bugle Call to officially
announce the lighting of the Beacons.
9.45pm – Rushden’s Beacon will be lit and NN10
Choir will sing ‘Song for the Commonwealth,’
Beatroute Radio will be broadcasting live
